Baso Zar
Extended Bio
Baso Zar’s musical journey began long before the studio—tracing back to a pivotal childhood moment at a school talent show where, overwhelmed by severe stage fright, a young Baso performed entirely with his eyes closed, only to open them to a roaring crowd. Drawing deep inspiration from storytelling powerhouses and soulful elements, Baso Zar blends introspective lyricism with rich, hypnotic soundscapes.Following the release of his debut album Conflicted (which explored modern relationships) and strong radio support from stations like Makhado FM, Pheli FM, and Kumkani FM, Baso Zar steps into a brand-new chapter. His upcoming single, "Looking for a Light," reflects deeply personal triumphs, bridging the gap between academic perseverance and artistic growth.
